• We drive through from Tunis to MAHRES.

• We drive through from MAHRES to JANZOUR (Tripoli).
• Border and police formalities entering Libya.
• Dinner and night in a seaside hotel.

DAY 4

• Lap 1 : JANZOUR / DERJ (Via NALUT).
• Free bivouac in the desert.

DAY 5

• Lap 2 : in the ERG AWBARI.
• Free bivouac in the dunes no 1.

DAY 6

• Lap 3 : in the ERG AWBARI.
• Free bivouac in the dunes no 2.

DAY 7

• Lap 4 : in the ERG AWBARI.
• Free bivouac in the dunes no 3.

DAY 8

• Lap 5 : ERG AWBARI/SERDELES
• Camping in African huts (with shower).

DAY 9

• Lap 6 : SERDELES/AKAKUS (via GHAT).
• Free bivouac in the southern AKAKUS near the famous stone arch.

DAY 10

• Lap 7 : SOUTHERN AKAKUS / NORTHERN AKAKUS.
• Free bivouac in ADAD.

DAY 11

• Lap 8 :NORTHERN AKAKUS /Lake of OUM EL MA (Via GERMA).
• Free bivouac in the dunes no 4 .

DAY 12

• Lap 9 : LAKE OF OUM EL MA / WADI CHATTI.
• Free bivouac in a palm oasis.

DAY 13

• We drive through from WADI CHATTI to LEPTIS MAGNA.
• Dinner and night in a hotel.

DAY 14

• We drive through from LEPTIS MAGNA to MATMATA via Tripoli and the ruins of SABRATHA.
• Border and police formalities (entry of Tunisia).
• Dinner and night in a troglodytical 4**** hotel with swimming pool.

DAY 15

• We drive through from MATMATA to KAIROUAN.
• Dinner and night in a 5***** hotel with swimming pool.

DAY 16

• We meet in Tunis at 12.00 hrs.
• Embarkment and departure from Tunis at 14.30 hrs. 
• 24 hr cruise in a luxe ferry of SNCM/FERRYTERRANEE.
• Cabins with shower and private toilets.

DAY 17

• Disembarkation in MARSEILLE around 15 hrs.(*)

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT :

• Tires (mixed profile) and suspension in mint condition
  • Low profile tires are not recommended.
  • Second spare wheel is a must.
• Recent full technical overhaul of vehicle is a must.

  • strongly recommended :refrigerator box ,air compressor.
  • Fuel reserve : 160 to 200 liters of fuel, inclusive of the full tank OBLIGATORY .(Between Derj and Serdélès is a 750 km distance without refuelling possibilities , multiply by two your usual fuelconsumption ).

Formalities :

• International passport with visum for Libya.
• green insurance card valid in Tunisia.
• In Libya you need to rent license plates and take a special insurance (± € 170).
• No mandatory vaccinations.
• Obligatory insurance for repatriation of vehicle and passengers valid in Tunisia and Libya.
