The route of this great raid goes through much of black Africa in Mali in particular.

The crossing from Mauritania -7 days-provides technical feats with much sand passages: Fort Saganne, Chinguetti, la vallée blanche, l’Oued Rachid, the Nega la passe. ... Mali and Senegal -9 days -6 days- provide a totally different world: the exciting crossing of the Niger River by ferry, the artistic Djenne, Dogon region the wonderful, the spectacular Manding Mountains, the magnificent waterfalls and giant baobab forests Gouina.

As a bonus you drive back to Saint Louis from Nouakchott to Nouakchott and 350 km along the magical beaches of the Banc d’Arquin.

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT :

Tyres (mixed profile) and suspension in perfect condition (low profile tyres are not recommended).
Second spare is REQUIRED.
Recent major maintenance of your vehicle is a must.
Optional equipment: GPS, CB is REQUIRED
Towing device, fridge box, sand sheets, air compressor: highly recommended.
Fuel Stock: 160 to 220 liter fuel tank contents including plain REQUIRED. (Autonomy = 800 km)

International passport with double Mauritania to apply for visa before departure. (125 €person).

The custom clearances and the car are made in advance what the border easier. All teams arrange the formalities evnwel own site.
We provide the admission of the Sengalese Customs for the temporary introduction of vehicles over 5 years old.
Green insurance card valid in Maroc.
Vaccination against yellow fever is mandatory.
Treatment against malaria is recommended.
